Yi Yi (2000) — the landmark film by Taiwanese auteur Edward Yang — was presented in Malaysia as a 25th Anniversary 4K Restoration theatrical release, with Blackflag serving as Official Outreach Partner in collaboration with GSC International Screens and the Taipei Economic & Cultural Office in Malaysia (TECO). The initiative brought the film to selected cinemas nationwide, accompanied by curated programmes including premiere screenings, double bill presentations, filmmaker conversations, and editorial initiatives, creating a meaningful platform for audiences to engage with one of contemporary cinema’s most important works.
